The Benz Quarter Horse Ranch is the result of over 60 years of involvement with horses.  Lloyd and Virginia Benz have been involved with horses their entire lives.  

Lloyd grew up with horses and has been riding and buying good horses for over 60 years.  He competed in bareback, saddle bronc and, of course, quite a few wild horse races.

Virginia was also born and raised with horses and was a rodeo queen nominee in the  '50's.  

They have decided to breed and raise horses high in foundation bloodlines - The Original Quarter Horses that can ride all day and look good doing it.

With the addition of their new stallion, Jaz GC Dakota Joe, they are building on their success with the sought-after grullo color by combining color with good foundation Poco Bueno breeding. This will result in foals with both color and breeding!
